Democratic candidate for governor Beverly Perdue had $1.4 million in her campaign coffers entering the third quarter of this year.
The lieutenant governor released her campaign finances Thursday,
covering the final weeks before her May 6 primary with State
Treasurer Richard Moore, through June 30. Candidates had to file or
mail their reports to the State Board of Elections before midnight
Thursday.
Perdue's campaign report says she raised $2.3 million during the
filing period. For the entire election cycle dating back to 2005,
Perdue has raised $10.7 million.
Perdue's Republican competitor -- Charlotte Mayor Pat McCrory --
had not released his report as of Thursday evening.
