WITN.com story from January 26, 2010:

Coast Guard crews from the East medically evacuated a 5-year-old boy and his parents from an oil tanker approximately 250 nautical miles East of Bermuda.

The crew of the tank ship Axel Spirit called authorities Sunday and reported a boy onboard was experiencing symptoms of appendicitis and needed help.

Due to the tanker's distance from land, an Air Station Elizabeth City Jayhawk Helicopter crew had to be pre-staged in Bermuda Sunday in order to rescue the boy Monday when the ship was within range.

After a successful rescue, the boy was taken to a hospital in Bermuda.

a buzz editorial note: HC-130(J) is a Hercules not a jayhawk, the the MH-60 is the Jayhawk. No biggy. Welcome home guys, I pray for you to have a speedy recovery and that everything will work out for you. Buzz-
