Schools are letting out for winter break, and families are starting to travel for the holidays.

An airline industry group says December 21, 22, 23, 26-30, and January 2 and 3 are expected to be the busiest travel days.

AAA Carolinas expects 2.4 million North Carolinians to travel 50 miles or more for the holidays.
