Easter Travelers Deal With High Gas Prices

Many people travel Easter weekend, whether it's heading to the beach or a family member's house, but unfortunately those travelers are dealing with high gas prices this weekend.

Right now in North Carolina the average price for a gallon of regular gas is $3.90 according to gasbuddy.com.

Prices are up slightly from one week ago when the average was $3.89.

A month ago the average was $3.75.

Experts say the average price for regular gas could be up to $4 by next week. That possiblity has some Greenville residents cringing and trying to find ways to save.

Erica Paluck says, "I try not to travel as much. I try to watch my spending. I try to see which gas stations in town have the lowest gas prices."

Matt Wade says, "I've had an SUV for a long time, burned a lot of gas and I commute for work, about an 80 mile commute. Gas Prices are pretty high and start to add up after a while."

North Carolina's gas price average is right around the national average which is $3.91.
