Economy Has People Keeping Cars Longer

As the economy continues its downward tumble, buying a new car for some Eastern Carolina drivers can cost nearly an arm and a leg these days.

Some drivers in Craven County are spending more money on repairs and putting the brakes on buying new cars. David Martin of Martin Auto Repairs says he's seeing his customers less, but says he's seeing their vehicles for a longer period of time.

Martin says he's noticed about a 25 percent reduction in regular maintenance, because of the economy

    It would get worst if Obama wasn't our new Prez. So Mr. Bob get over it! Like yesterday! Obama is not the blame for what's going on in our economy. And I didn't even vote for the man. We always have to find someone to blame. Please STOP!

    Why would anyone contribute to the economy when a foreigner has been elected for Prez? The people that voted for obammo are the ones that sit around waiting for hand outs. Just wait,it's going to get worse.
