Nikkei Climbs After Friday's Wall Street Rebound

Japan's Nikkei average climbed almost six percent Monday in the wake of a Wall Street rebound on Friday.

Wall Street rebounded on Friday following a two-day sell off as investors went bargain hunting for undervalued stocks. The Nikkei responded by climbing five-point-seven percent Monday morning.

In Seoul, things were up and down as early gains briefly turned negative. Hyundai and Shinhai Financial Group led the losses.

In Sydney, Australian shares rose one-point-94 percent, boosted by the positive end to last week on wall street.
