Add That Cable Bill To The Rate Increases For Next Year

People tightening their budgets won't like this much--several cable companies to raise their rates next year.

So many in fact, the Federal Communications Commission says it's concerned. An FCC spokeswoman said cable companies are charging consumers more, but consumers are receiving less.

Comcast and Time Warner cable are among those planning to increase rates next year.

Who cares? I don't eat cables and I don't reside in a cable tv and I do not go to cable when I am sick. In fact, I do not care if cable goes broke. Someone else will then fill the void.

Nothing and tell them you are switching to Direct TV. We do that everytime and we renew for the "new customer deals." They do not want to lose your business. Scare them a little. SUDDENSTINK...I mean Suddenlink sucks anyway. You get very little for the money. We should be getting so many more channels.

To J HD is not the new standard in Feb, just digital there is a difference. And if you have DirecTV you already have a digital signal.

DirecTV raises its prices every year as well. I wish the FCC would be a cap on the raising of rates. Also, I am so sick and tired of paying $10 extra per month just do I can have channels in HD. HD is the new standard next February, I don't expect to pay more for the standard.

We have Time Warner and it seems like our bill goes up a little every month, and has since our new customer promotion ended. And you have no choice. They are the only cable company available in our area. I know satellite is an option but we prefer cable to satellite.
