The Tryon Palace in New Bern received a big donation from a local company.
Weyerhaeuser issued a grant of $20,000 to the History Center for naming sponsorship of its pine trees and timber industry exhibits.
Tryon Palace Director Kay Williams says this donation is part of an ongoing partnership they have with the company.
Weyerhaeuser also gave their support with the refurbishment of the Tryon Palace New Bern Academy, North Carolina's first publicly-chartered school.
