Troopers: Driver Blows .23 After Hitting Police Cruiser

Highway patrol says a driver blew a .23, nearly three times the legal limit, after he hit a police cruiser.

The accident happened around 5:30 Tuesday night in Plymouth in Washington County.

Troopers say 65-year-old Donald Hassell of Plymouth failed to yield as he pulled out of a parking lot onto Highway 64 and hit Sammy House's police cruiser with his Chrysler mini van.

There were no serious injuries or major damage to either vehicle.

Hassell is charged with DWI and unsafe movement.

Highway Patrol says back in 1987 Hassell's license was revoked for two previous DWI offenses.
