Third "Jason" Robbery In Craven County Within A Month

There's been another hockey mask robbery in Craven County, the third in about a month.

Deputies say the latest victim was the Mallard Food Mart on Highway 70, east of New Bern. The store was robbed around 9:30 p.m. Saturday.

Captain Joe Heckman says it appears to be the same man who robbed the Handy Mart across the street on Halloween night and the Family Dollar in New Bern a few days before that.

The picture show is from the October 31st robbery.

In the latest robbery. deputies say the masked man walked into the store with a semi-automatic handgun and got away with an undisclosed amount of cash. The gunman may be driving a small dark SUV.

No one was hurt in the robbery.
