A second singer from the east has made it to Hollywood for American Idol.
This was the second time 22-year-old Blair Mozingo of Duplin County auditioned for the show. She says when she was 17 she didn't make it through, but a friend encouraged her to try again and she got three yes's from the judges.
Although she says she can't talk too much about the show she did tell us it wasn't three yes's right away. She had come down with bronchitis before the audition, but didn't tell the judges that right away.
Mozingo says, "I was like you guys, with all due respect, I've come down with bronchitis. I didn't want to come in saying that but I'm throwing out my card, and I said let me do another couple seconds of a second song, and that's when I did Up To The Mountain by Pattie Griffin, and after about 5-10 seconds they cut me off and gave me 3 yes's.
Blair says she found her passion for singing when she won a talent show at her elementary school.
Mozingo is a junior at Mount Olive College, majoring in psychology- she teaches private voice lessons and sings at events like weddings, anniversary parties on the weekend.
A couple of weeks ago we introduced you to Ashlee Altise of Kinston who has also made it to Hollywood.
