Romney, Gingrich Double-Booked For SC Ham House Campaign Stop

GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP) -- Rival presidential candidates Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich are set to appear at the same barbecue restaurant at the same time on the day of the South Carolina primary.

Both campaigns said Friday they will not change schedules that, by coincidence, have the dueling candidates visiting Tommy's Country Ham House in Greenville at 10:45 a.m.

Romney and Gingrich are locked in a nasty, neck-and-neck fight to win the first-in-the-South primary. They have criticized each other repeatedly on the debate stage, in TV ads, on the radio, in mail and in telephone calls.

Gingrich has surged ahead in recent days, eating into Romney's lead in polls and threatening what had appeared to be a swift march to the nomination.

Romney campaign spokesman Rick Gorka called the scheduling a "pure coincidence and we are not changing our schedule."

Gingrich campaign spokesman Nathan Naidu said Gingrich's schedule came out first and that Gingrich is "more than happy to treat Gov. Romney to ham at our event."

I am no fan of GWB but I am not a republican boot licker either. The GOP not the president ran this country into the ground. Bush was a figure head for a larger entity. He did its biding and now it is ready to cast him off like a cheap suit so it can put on another one. All your point do is show how empty and hollow your party and the people within it are. At every turn those of us who have pointed out the flaws of Bushes policies, which were the GOP's polices, we were told to like it or leave it unpatriotic talk would not be tolerated. Now, like the men and women of the service, that his usefulness has ended he is being thrown into the gutter. The people should know that George Walker Bush was not the lone gunman who killed his party the party cut their own throat. No matter which of the republican presidents are in office the results would have been the same. Bush was put in office to fast track the corporate welfare program, a war, and the destruction of the constitution. It has never been Bush verses everyone else. The GOP had control of the whole thing up until the last election. They ran the show. Every thing that was passed was what the party wanted. Now that there is an election coming up it is time to pass blame to clear the party. Vote Obama 2012.

OK "Dummy," so you actually remember George W. Bush's presidency, because so many posting here seem to have forgotten. You remember what the DJIA was when Bush left office, and it's easy enough to see what it is today in comparison. Perhaps you also remember that it was Bush, NOT Obama, who signed the Wall Street/Bank bailouts. Many seem to have forgotten that fact. You mentioned Libya, are you aware of how differently that was handled than Iraq? How much American blood and treasure was spent in Libya? I can assure you that I am very interested in getting the country back on track, and I plan to vote for President Obama because when I look at the FACTS the country is much better off than when Bush ran things, and I don't see any sense in turning the government back over to the party that actually caused the mess we were in.

The dumb jokes are really funny. Have 6 year old's taken over this comments section? Can you really not speak intelligently about the candidate you prefer? You resort to calling the others dumb? It is scary that you are allowed to vote. Are they dumb because they can speak intelligently without a teleprompter in front of them? Maybe they are dumb because they believe in the constitution? Maybe they are dumb because they feel people should actually work instead of being handed everything from the almighty government? Maybe they are dumb because they have held positions in life other than community organizer? I will hand it to President Obama though, he is smart. He did dupe so many into voting for him with his promises. How bout his foreign policy for example? Oh, never mind, he followed GW Bush's policy despite his campaign promises. Matter of fact he even got us involved in Libya. I could go on and on with facts. If you notice, most liberals resort to name calling or childish behavior when they are not able to make their case with facts or half-way intelligent statements. I know some democrats who have realized their mistake in voting last time. I respect them. Obama has had his chance, it just hasn't worked. Let's get the country back on track and vote for the right person, not just because someone is part of a certain political party.

For some reason, there are libterds that seem to think they are part of the next president in the USA. They call the candidates names as they have nothing else left in their final act of desperation to post anything of any intellect. In fact, the anger of knowing that you supported the worst president in the history of this nation due to shear ignorance means, justify it. However, its impossible to do with what you have to work with, so, attack the other guys, lie, cheat and steal if you have to. It still won't do any good. We all know we cannot proceed in the libterdial direction of the kind of the libterds, Obimbo. The GOP, sorry, I am actually a democrat, will be selecting the next president of the US, get over it, pound sand, cry outloud...kick a tree, your points or wasted moot.

At least they will eat at a normal place. Obama acts like he's so hood, but is nothing but a prissy pampered socialist. He had an ex boyfriend come forward but the media won't pick that up. Oh did I mention no one has come forward ever about where he went to school??? If you like Obama your an idiot plain and simple. :-)

Here are your choices to be the nominee for President, Repugs. A serial adulterer who was thrown out as Speaker by his own party OR Mr. "Corporations are People" hiding millions of dollars in a tax shelter. Democrats will be very happy with either.
