Popular Washington Restaurant Closes Its Doors

A restaurant that has become a staple in one city in the east is preparing to close their doors.

Pia's of Washington is closing Monday. The Washington Daily News said they received an email from Chef Brandon B. Qualls saying Pia and John Van Coutren decided it's time for Pia's to change paths.

The paper cited the news release saying, "In the wake of taking a trip overseas to address family matters, it became inherently clear that it was time to step away from the beloved restaurant business."
