Police say they have closed the cases of four robberies were a man dressed as Spider-Man held-up local businesses. Their suspect was murdered.
Wilmington police say Anthony Devone was murdered on October 20th. The 41-year-old man was identified today as their suspect in the four Spider-Man hold-ups.
The robberies started September 25th and the last one occurred four days before Devone was killed. In many of the cases, the gunman demanded money and Newport cigarettes.
Two days after Devone was found dead Wilmington police charged another man with his murder.
