(NBC News) President Obama is still on vacation this morning, but back in Washington after addressing two simmering hotspots - one at home, and one abroad.
He spoke out on the racial tensions in Ferguson, Missouri and gave an update on the American military action in Iraq on Monday.
Mr. Obama promised a full investigation of the killing of Michael Brown, an unarmed African-American teenager, by a white police officer.
On Iraq, he praised the U.S. military aid that helped Iraqis retake a key dam from ISIS terrorists, but pledged this is no longer America's war. "We're not the Iraqi military. We're not even the Iraqi Air Force," said the President.
