This may come as a surprise to some but North Carolina just makes it into the list of Top Ten States with the Most Barbecue Enthusiasm.
Real estate website and blog Estately says out of 50 states and Washington D.C., North Carolina snagged the final spot in BBQ heaven.
Our state ranked 10th based on a few bits of criteria including 17th most barbecue restaurants per capita, 14th most expressed interest in barbecue on Facebook, 13th highest percentage of restaurants that are barbecue, 8th most barbecue-related Google searches, and 19th most barbecue accessory stores and charcoal producers combined.
Connecticut ranks at the very bottom. Alabama came out on top followed by Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Missouri, Arkansas, South Carolina, Georgia, Kansas, and of course North Carolina.
