The price of gas isn't the only thing changing at the pump. Across the state, 95% of gas stations carry some form of ethanol-blended gasoline.

Soon there will be new labeling to let you know the ethanol content of the fuel you're pumping. The NC Rules Review Commission in Raleigh approved a measure Thursday so any gasoline containing more than 15% percent ethanol must show the exact percentage at the pump.

Brian Weathersbee of Pugh's Tire and Auto Service says the more ethanol in your fuel, the faster you should use it.

"The higher it is, the more likely that you need to be burning it out as fast as possible. In a boat, a lawnmower, a weed eater, things you aren't using very often, you definitely need to be burning that fuel out, 100% no doubt about it," said Weathersbee.

Consumers can expect to see the changes in a couple of weeks, as the rule goes into effect on June first.
