NC Lottery Ends Dozens Of Games, Get Your Prize Now

The N.C. Education Lottery is taking a dozen instant scratch-off games out of circulation at the end of the month.

A statement from lottery officials said all instant game prizes must be claimed within 90 days of the announced end-of-game date of Feb. 29. Therefore, all prizes associated with the games must be claimed on or before May 29.

Claims of $600 up to $99,999 must be made at one of the six regional claim centers before 5 p.m. that day, while claims of $100,000 and above must be made at lottery headquarters before 5 p.m. on that day as well.

Claims that are mailed to the NCEL must be received within 90 days of the official end-of-game date. Postmarks will not satisfy the 90-day requirement.

Stop all the sale of lottery! Period! Its making people believe they can be rich, just one more ticket???, and doing nothing for our local schools. It just one more thing to distract you from LIFE.

The few people I've seen play those got their 'prize' at the cash register. There are waaay too many games to choose from anyway. It would be good to narrow it down.
