Man Charged With Two DWIs Within Four Hours

Lawmen say they arrested a man twice today for drunk driving, all within four hours.

Jones County deputies say Joseph Stancil of Princeton in Wayne County was initially charged around 1:30 a.m. by state troopers and deputies for DWI and drug charges. They say Stancil went to jail, was released on bond and later wrecked his pickup truck, while still in Jones County.

The 26-year-old is charged with two DWIs and resisting a public officer by troopers. Deputies have charged the man with simple possession of Schedule II controlled substance, possession of Schedule IV controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

After his second arrest, deputies say his parents arrived to bond him out of jail.
