As 2012 comes to a close, Yahoo! releases its list of the top online searches for the year.
The word "elections" was the most-searched term on Yahoo.com, followed by the iPhone 5.
A number of celebrities were among the top 10 list of searches; they include Kim Kardashian, Kate Upton, Kate Middleton, Jennifer Lopez, Lindsay Lohan and Whitney Houston, who died this year.
The Olympics and political polls also made the top 10.
