A principal from Lenoir County has been selected to represent her county in a statewide principal of the year program.
The honor goes to Kristie Brennan of La Grange Elementary in Lenoir County.
This is all part of the 29th annual Wachovia Principal of the Year Program.
Now that Brennan has been selected she'll compete against other local award recipients in the east.
Brennan has worked in Lenoir County public schools for 17 years.
The state Wachovia Principal of the Year will be announced in the spring of 2012.
