A book store is helping a local family recover after a fatal fire. The Pittman family lost three of their eight children in the fire at their home in Onslow County last week.

The family home-schools, so in an effort to help rebuild their library, Barnes and Noble in Jacksonville set up a book donation drive. They have a selection of books, notebooks, and pencils for you to choose from. You can purchase the items at checkout and they will be given to the Pittmans.

"You don't have to have a lot of money to contribute. The books start as low as $3.99 and go all the way up to $50. You can give as much or as little as you want. Anything for this family is gonna help."

This book donation drive is only at the Jacksonville Barnes and Noble, but you can call the store to contribute. Through the Onslow County Sheriff's Office, Mr. Pittman said he would like to thank everyone for what they have done for his family after the fire. His wife Johnetta and their 10-year-old daughter are still in the hospital in critical condition, but are improving.
