Greenville Drug Dealer Sentenced After Crackdown On Mexican Drug Cartels

A convicted Greenville drug dealer has been sentenced as part of operation "No Quarter" from last year.

33-year-old Mario Carmon was sentenced in federal court to nearly 9-years in prison. He was indicted last fall on charges of distributing heroin and crack cocaine.

Operation "No Quarter" was designed to attack the infrastructure of the Mexican drug trafficking organizations operating in eastern carolina and beyond.

In all more than 100 people have been charged. Law enforcement officials seized drugs with a street value of $4.6 million, as well as 35 firearms
