The Schooner "Jeanie B" will host a free family afternoon on the Washington Waterfront this Sunday as the event on Easter Sunday was cancelled due to rain.
From 2:00pm to 3:00pm, the whole family can take free tours of the ship. There will be pirate face painting for the kids and refreshments for all.
From 3:00pm to 7:00pm, the Jeanie B will offer group tours of the Washington Harbor and Pamlico River, taking up to 25 people each trip.
The tours are first come, first serve. Reservations can be made at the ship the day of the event or over the phone by calling (252) 671-0080.
The Schooner Jeanie B is a tall ship sailing school that calls the Washington Waterfront home.
She regularly works with scout troops, summer camps and local youth to take them on 3- to 14-day sailing trips from Washington to Ocracoke, Hatteras, Manteo and Norfolk.
