Some stellar 3-point shooting by the ECU basketball team means a big check for United Way.
NACCO Materials Handling Group presented a check for $22,300 to the United Way of Pitt County.
The company is a sponsor of ECU athletics and donated $100.00 for each of the 223 three point baskets made by the Pirates during the 2012-2013 season.
The biggest contributor from the Pirates, Akeem Richmond with a school record 95 3-point baskets this season.
