A North Carolina lawyer and his wife have written a letter of complaint to Governor Bev Perdue claiming the wife was harassed by a state Highway Patrol trooper in Wilmington.
According to the eight page complaint, Gina Tessner was harassed by Trooper Edward Wyrick following a traffic stop in which the trooper said a headlight was out then said he smelled alcohol. Following two breathalyzer test results of 0.0, the complaint says Wyrick failed to release Mrs. Tessner, telling her she'd have to go to a magistrate. The Highway Patrol says it is investigating and Wyrick is on normal duty.
