Counties To Finalize New Budgets

Several counties in North Carolina will finalize their new budgets Monday.

The Beaufort County Commissioners are expecting such a large public turnout for their public hearing that they have moved it to the community college.

In Duplin County, county commissioners are scheduled to vote on their new budget, with the hot topic being proposed cuts to the county's EMS service. Earlier this month, commssions made a motion to take cuts to the EMS service out of the budget, saying officials would find the funds later.
