Bill Cosby Coming To ECU

Bill Cosby will take the stage at East Carolina University next month.

ECU and the S. Rudolph Alexander Performing Arts Series says Cosby will take the stage on Thursday, September 20, at 8:00 pm in Wright Auditorium.

Tickets for the show are now on sale for $60.00 for adults and $30.00 for students & youth at East Carolina's central ticket office or online.

Cosby is one of the most influential stars in America. He's an author, comedian, actor and JELL-O spokesman.

The Cosby Show, which aired from 1984 to 1992 on NBC, earned him the famous title of America's Dad.

In addition to his eight Gold Records, five Platinum Records, five Grammy Awards, and three Emmy Awards, he received a Kennedy Center Honor Lifetime Achievement Award in 1998, a Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2002 and the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor in 2009.

On February 12 of this year, Cosby was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame for his second comedy album, I Started Out As A Child. His collection of awards also includes Golden Globe, People's Choice, and BMI among others.
