The Bertie boys basketball team won the Northeastern Coastal Conference title Friday on a buzzer-beater by Malcolm Cherry.
The Falcons trailed 49-48 with 1.9 seconds left when Cherry received the inbounds pass and put up the game-winning shot.
Bertie will play Beddingfield in the next round of the high school basketball playoffs.
