NEW INFO: Second Jacksonville Grandmother Murder Suspect Appears In Court

The second suspect arrested in the December murder of a Jacksonville grandmother made a brief appearance in court Tuesday.

James Williamson, 22, of Sneads Ferry is charged with an open count of Murder, Attempted Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon and Conspiracy to Commit Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon.

Williamson is an active duty Marine Corporal.

Police say Williamson drove the getaway car after Larry Forrest shot Kim Flournoy in December as she left the TNT Bingo on Henderson Dr. in Jacksonville. Detectives believe they were after her purse and the $500 inside. Forrest, also a Camp Lejeune Marine, was arrested in April.

Williamson is due in court on August 20. Forrest is due in court in September.

The Jacksonville Police Department says an active duty Marine Corporal has been arrested for the murder of a grandmother in Jacksonville in December of last year outside of TNT Bingo on Henderson Drive. He is the second Camp Lejeune marine arrested for the murder of Kim Flournoy.

22-year-old James Williamson of 277 Winery Road, Sneads Ferry was taken into custody by Jacksonville Police from Naval Criminal Investigative Service, Monday aboard Camp Lejeune. Williamson is an active duty Marine Corporal.

Williamson is charged with an open count of Murder, Attempted Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon and Conspiracy to Commit Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon. Williamson is at the Onslow County Jail being held without bond.

On April 16, 2013, Jacksonville Police arrested 21-year-old Larry Forrest of 2360 Piney Green Road. Forrest is charged with Attempted Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon and an Open Count of Murder. He is held at the Onslow County Jail without bond.

Jacksonville Police say the investigation revealed that Forrest was the shooter and Williamson was driving the vehicle in the Flournoy homicide.

According to an arrest warrant, Forrest tried to take Kim Flournoy's purse with $500 inside December 30th. Jacksonville Police say he then shot her in the face.
