ARRRRGH! Pirates Invade Greenville Gas Station

Arrrrgh! Some people around Greenville are doing a double take as they pass by a convenience store these days.

Two life-like mannequins are hanging from underneath the canopy at the Oasis on East 10th Street, both dressed as pirates.

The man and woman are outfitted in purple and gold, sporting ECU tee-shirts.

Managers say when they remodeled the store last year they started putting pirate mannequins inside the store. Three days ago they decided to put them outside, as if they are climbing a rope. The man even has a knife in his mouth.

Some customers think they are "very creepy" as they fuel their vehicles while passing motorists often mistake them for real people.

The store says they are catching a lot of attention, which is exactly why they put them up. By the way, a word of warning, the mannequins have built-in sensors so if they are stolen they can be easily tracked.
