What Happens To The Leftover Fireworks?

Fireworks stands were a familiar site in the days leading up to the fourth of July festivities, but what happens now that the holiday has passed?

Many fireworks stand operators were already packing up the left over fountains and sparklers preparing everything for storage until next year.

Others however were still trying to make last minute sales before closing up shop for the season. We talked with one shopper who explains why he was buying fourth of July fireworks on the fifth.

Retailers say that sales were strong this year, and they are already looking forward to next year.

Pure shame that residents have to resort to using these poot & pop fireworks bacause someone decided we needed to be protected from ourselves. Dont use that claim about health care costs from people blowing their fingers off. I don't remember any of you paying my medical bills lately. Pure shame, we can't even celebrate our FREEDOM with real fireworks because they are illegal! Pitcha Dat!
