Super Snack: Cheerwine And Krispy Kreme Team Up

Two treats from the Carolinas are teaming up to create a new doughy delicacy, but only for a limited time.

Winston-Salem-based Krispy Kreme Doughnuts says Thursday it's created a doughnut that's stuffed with a filling flavored with Cheerwine, the cherry-flavored soft drink whose headquarters is in Salisbury.

The confection is covered with chocolate icing and red and white sprinkles.

But the treats can't be purchased at Krispy Kreme stores.

Cheerwine says the desserts are available at select grocery stores in North and South Carolina through the month of July.

Yes, Anonymous; they are. I noticed that too. I remembered mine though; I remember the old CheerWine soft drink, and wanted to put a plug in for the old Krispy Kreme folks, that this is probably a very tastey doughnut filling. I bet it will be very popular.

I posted a comment yesterday! Two old favorites! It sounds like a good flavor to me. What would not sound good would be BBQ sauce and Krispy Kreme flavor.
