Gas Prices Heading Up

You've likely noticed gas prices have risen lately.

Experts say the price at the pump has gone-up nearly ten cents in the last two weeks -- and that it may climb even higher.

Right now the national average is $2. 73 a gallon. Triple-A of the Carolina's says the average price in our area is $2.76 -- up from $2.58 last month and $1.90 last year at this time.

Analysts predict prices to rise over the next 4 to 6 weeks and then level out around $2.90 this summer. They say the prices reflect a strengthening economy.

When did Georger Bush lead us? I think Bush did one hell of a job after the 9/11 attacks, he was there for the people when we needed him most. The Iraq war was needed. DOD reports are available as to what have been found since the war began, we would be in the same boat with Iraq as we are with Iran if we had not done anything. The economy was doing great until the Democrats took control of Congress and the House. You talk about Bush lying, everytime Obama opens his mouth it is a lie coming out. I guess campaign promises mean nothing anymore, I guess listening to the American people is not the presidents job anymore.

I'll have to agree with the laws of supply and demand on this one. Besides the fact that you can't compare price across boarders due to the level of taxing in this state. You want to blame someone blame yourselves and your countrymen for not understanding that moving from a 12 mpg SUV driven moderately to a 18 mpg SUV driven daily = NO savings. I have never seen so many ridiculous urban SUVs on the road caring one or two persons even after the recent fuel scare. Its like we all forgot again. Oh Well!

To - Data Man on Mar 9, 2010 at 09:19 AM. He is just cheerleading again. His comment has no substance. It’s quite a shame that with all the trillions Obama has stolen from us and our descendants and ferreted to his friends and supporters , some in Gov't contracts favors who help him get elected and various labor unions, trial lawyers, Acorn and many, many more such institutions, It really is a pity how the United States of America is run
