Report: Catholic School Kicks Out Preschooler Because Parents Are Lesbians

A Catholic school in Colorado is kicking out a preschooler because the child's parents are lesbians.

The child will not be allowed to re-enroll next year at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic School. The Denver Archdiocese posted a statement Friday that the parents are "living in open discord with Catholic teaching."

The statement says students in Catholic schools are expected to have parents who abide by policies of the school and church. The Archdiocese said students with gay parents in Catholic schools would become "confused."

The school's decision was first reported Friday by KUSA-TV in Denver.

Citizen, they don't see aliens as illegals or legals, just parish members, or one of gods followers. I don't agree with it, however, the point I made earlier, is you have rules within the church. I think the problem here is the parents made a point of letting the priest know. Drawing attention maybe OK in San Francisco, however, that is the exception.

The Catholic Church condones illegal aliens for breaking our laws. They even aid and abet illegals by providing assistance and refuge to save them from deportation. They don't mind violating Federal law to protect illegals, but they want to kick children who have gay parents out of school because of the choices their parents made? Well, isn't that what they say they can't do when it comes to illegals? They can't punish children of illegals for what their parents do, yet the same doesn't apply to children of gay parents? What's the difference? I thought children were children. I guess their principles apply only to some and not to all. What a bunch of hypocrites!

Pat, you seem to miss the point. The church doesn't go along with political correctness or what is perversion sexual lifestyle. They don't care. If you want to worship with them, you have to agree with them in a contract, to live by the rules. They don't care if you call them a hate group, racist, whatever. You will find they have more minority members than any other. Its really hard to see you post a statement intended to inflict the race card when most churches are predominantly, black or white. The Catholic church has "all colors" in its congregation. If you are gay, you repent, or, you are out. That is your choice, no option. If you have the need to tell the church, you have two mommies, good luck. Just because other churches allow homosexuals in...don't expect the Catholic church to do what is fashionable. If you believe in abortion, if they find out, you could be excommunicated from the church. That is just the way it is.

The catholic church should be designated a hate group. This child did nothing wrong. If they want to ban gays from their church fine, but this is a school offered to the puboic and where tuition is charged. They should no more be allowed to discriminate like this than any other business that serves the public. Does this mean they could also, if they chose to, say no blacks allowed at the school? Are they exempt totally from our laws?

Nathan, It will not be easy finding a Christian who can debate relegion civilly. They are the ones that think the earthis 4000 years old. Not too bright.

Never mind, for a second, certain things the Bible says. It was written over 2,000 years ago based on stories that had been passed down, generation to generation, from way farther back. Ever play a game called "Telephone"? Same idea. I'm not saying abandon your faith, but consider a question of logic that is very relevant and accurate: "Why does God create that which He hates?" The typical Christian answer is that God didn't create homosexuality, that people choose it. If that is your answer as well, you are, by definition, bisexual. People who are straight or gay, by definition, don't have the choice. Again, I'm straight, but I did not choose to be. If you believe God is omnipotent and benign, you also believe God made people gay, straight, and bisexual. Therefore what the Bible says is either a contradiction or a logical fallacy. And an ad hominem won't change that, so in advance, please don't bother. OTOH, I'd love to hear from an educated Christian who can debate this civilly.

1 Cor. 6:9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be ye not deceived: neither fornicators, not idolaters, nor adulterors, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, etc. I suggest you look up the meaning of effeminate.

Yeah right, "astonished at 9:52 am." Sue the pants off the school. Wow! What maturity! That will solve ALL the problems! Go ahead and sue a private, Catholic school where they have their policies and can deny anybody they want to from receiving an education. Ooooo! I'm impressed with your intelligent idea!
