Making Up Snow Days

Students in two eastern Carolina school districts will head back to the classroom Thursday for the first time since the weekend winter storm.

Edgecombe County and Nash-Rocky Mount School Districts say school is back on as scheduled Thursday.

After missing three days students will now have to make up that lost time. Edgecombe County has already decided two planning days scheduled for March 5th and 26th will now be school days. The third day will be decided during a February 8th board meeting.

Some students and parents we talked with say while the enjoyed the snow days, they're also ready to get back to normal.

I fail to understand the continued resistance of more and more parents to having their children become educated.
