UPDATED: Racial Intimidation Or Just A Prank?

An investigation into racial intimidation at one community college has been closed and the students involved have returned to class.

According to Kinston Public Safety, an incident that involved a stuffed monkey hanging from a car antenna at Lenoir Community College Tuesday, was just a prank, not a hate crime.

The two students who were asked to leave the L.C.C. indefinitely were allowed back to class on Thursday.

Officer say the students had no malicious intent and the incident was just a misunderstanding.

Previous Story:
A case of alleged racial intimidation is under investigation at one local community college.

Witnesses say close to fifteen people gathered in the parking lot of Lenoir Community College Tuesday when they say two white students hung a stuffed animal monkey on the antenna of a truck.

A student reported the incident to administrators claiming it was a racist act. Some who saw the incident unfold didn't think that was the cause. The thought it was meant to poke fun at the owner of the truck for being overweight.

LCC administrators say they're turning this case over to Kinston Public Safety for further investigation.

The two students involved have been suspended.

Well, then lets turn this around, get the person involved with making the accusation and charge them with hate crimes. It should go both ways. If you allow people to look and create hate crimes, they will. It goes both ways folks!

We need to destroy organizations that are based on supporting one race. This prank was only that. A prank. We have people dying in the middle east every day and this is what you choose to focus your energy on?

I am so embarassed that I work in Plymouth where people like Dayquon live. You can't even spell words so how do you understand their meanings? I also would like to know why people just assume a monkey represents African Americans. I sure don't think the two are the same. Seems like some people's views of themselves are negative. Why does everything have to become a racial issue?

"jay mo", your chopped up, bad grammer would not indicate that your education is any better than the locals. Might pay you to just close the hole and live your life, quietly.
