If you're looking to beat the heat today, and you live near the Outer Banks, you may want to cruise over to your local 7-Eleven store.
In honor of today's date, July 11th, or 7-11, all 7-Eleven stores will be giving away free slurpees. You don't need a coupon, however, only the seven point one ounce size is free, larger cups will still cost you.
The convenience store plans to hand out five million of the sample sized frozen treats.
You can find a 7-Eleven in Elizabeth City, Grandy, Manteo and on the Outer Banks. Those locations include, Barco, Kitty Hawk, Kill Devil Hills and Nags Head.
