Daughter, Father Reunited After 30 Years

A 30-year-old suburban Atlanta woman has found the father she never knew.

April Becker's mother divorced her father when April was just a few months old.

As an adult, April began searching for her father on the internet and tried putting in his name and "looking for April."

Up popped a Web site with her name on it -- and a message that her dad was looking for her.

Now they've talked, and they've met in person.

Her dad, Dr. Scott Becker, also now knows his two grandkids, and says they are going to have a great Christmas.

I wouldn't have looked for this jerk. ...Why didn't he keep in touch with her after the divorce? Why not keep in touch when she was a couple of months old? ..I'll tell you why... because he would have to pay child support. Now that she is a grown woman he can pretend he's been looking for his daughter. So what.. he put her name on a website! She's been grown 12 years. I'm sure he's been looking within that time span. Dead-beat dad is what he is... too little to late. Tell him to give you and your mom 18 years of support and I'll bet you a kidney you won't see him for another 30 years. Never make someone a priority when they are only going to make you an option!!

To those who consider this NOT news worthy. If you read the headlines, you would not have even opened the article! But you did and then you had to enter a comment stating this isn’t news. It must have meant something to you or you would NOT have wasted your precious time commenting on it. LETS HEAR GOOD NEWS TOO, its news…

This is news and GOOD NEWS at that.... Its the news we all love to hear...we hear enough about crime, politics, etc, a story does not have to consist of blood, guts, stabbings, shootings to be news worthy...sometimes the sweetest things make the most awesome stories and show us that there are STILL good things going on in this nasty world!!!

Yes it news to some people. People today is cold hearted and evil and can't stand for people to be happy and want to share it with someone. It is nice to sometimes hear some good news about something instead of always news about violence. I'm glad that this person has found their father.

News Worthy or Not! It sure felt good to get up and read something that was "good" news. Once in a while we need to hear about something other than dog kills, child porn, breaking and entering and murder!

Maybe not news but it is a personal inner thing. I met my father at the age of 21, then I felt complete and it made a difference in my life. I also found someone that I have loved for more than 31 yrs. and we have begin to date again, just wish we was closer to each other. we are living in different states

It must be nice to find out that your father is also a doctor. After 20 years of searching for my real father, I found him... a no good bum who tried to get money from me...
