New Bern Halloween Parade

Halloween came early for some little ghosts and goblins in New Bern.

Hundreds of little tikes came out to downtown New Bern Friday to walk in the parade of preschoolers.

The event is sponsored by the Craven County Cooperative Extension and New Bern Parks and Recreation.

We saw kids dressed in everything from a forest ranger to little rockstars and princesses.

Why don't they just call it 'dress up as your favorite character' day, or Fall Harvest Day;anything but Halloween; I didn't know Forest Rangers, Spiderman, Transformers, and Cinderella were considered 'ghosts and goblins' either. Oh well, bah humbug for Hallowhatever.
