Stimulus Money To NC Government Credited With Saving Or Creating 24,000 Jobs

North Carolina government says federal stimulus money sent directly to state agencies has saved or created at least more than 24,000 jobs so far.

The North Carolina Office of Economic Recovery and Investment began rolling out numbers late Wednesday on how the federal money received has been spent to date. State agencies had a deadline last weekend to report to Washington on the use of recovery dollars.

Sizeable amounts of money have been used so far to fill revenue gaps in the state budget, contract for 110 highway projects and provide supplemental funds to local school districts.

The state recovery office said more than 19,000 of the jobs were saved or created, thanks to more than $1 billion set aside in the budget for the public schools and Medicaid.

Even the Dems admitted there is no way to calculate "saved or created jobs". Now they are being used to try and justify this massive waste of taxpayer money. North Carolina received ~$3 billion. Even their fake numbers are bad!! If this lie is even considered true by any lib out there, that means each of these "jobs" cost $125,000.

This is just great, the people that helped create the fall of the finicial system are takeing credit for helping to solve the problem. Why didn't they stop it before it happened? Oh, that way they would not be a hero.

HOCUS POCUS. These jobs were paid for by our tax money-- no new tax producing jobs were created by the stimulus. What do you do next year when once again you don't have the tax money to support these positions-- another $800 billion stimulus-- borrow and tax some more??? We are in a never ending spiral. Thanks President Obama, and my grandkids thank you also-- they'll be paying for this long after I am dead!!!!

Typical spin from Washington. There's no way that saved jobs can be counted. So how much has the unemployment rate gone down? Such a bunch of Baloney!
