Gay Man In Coma After Hate Crime Beating

New York City police say a 49-year-old gay man leaving a corner deli near his home was beaten by two men in an apparent hate crime.

Jack Price remains in a medically induced coma. He is in serious but stable condition.

Police say the two suspects taunted Price and yelled anti-gay slurs while he was in the store early Friday. They attacked him outside, not far from his home in the middle-class Queens neighborhood of College Point.

Twenty-six-year-old Daniel Aleman was arrested Sunday and charged with assault and aggravated assault as a hate crime. The name of his attorney was not on record.

A second suspect is being sought. The police department's Hate Crimes Task Force is investigating.

It's funny how most people revert to the bible when it comes to the issue of homosexuality but the same people dont live a christian life. I was born gay, I know that..dont really care who else believes that. You have to be born this way to understand that being gay isnt a choice.

to Interested: thank you thank you thank you! You are so right. 100% right. Hetero's really do not know how hard it is. I've felt this way all my life and there's nothing wrong with me. Runs in the family.

Hmmm... now i have a question...I believe in God, but I also believe in science. I think that homosexuality is genetic; something different in their DNA. Ex: a family of 7 siblings has 4 homosexual brothers and the next generation (children of 2 of the 3 siblings whom are heterosexual) have 2 homosexual children. Has anyone ever taken into consideration how hard it is for someone who feels that they are homosexual knowing the chances of being outcast by their family and/or shunned by their peers? I can't imagine. Can any of us heterosexuals really know how hard it must be? And if you've ever taken the time to talk to someone who is homosexual, they will most likely tell you that they've felt this way all of their lives. So which is better; live a heterosexual lifestyle and live a lie, or live a homosexual lifestyle? God still knows how you feel inside. Prayers for a speedy recovery for this man.

God made Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve. He chose this lifestyle and it is an abomination against God. I certainly hope he is ok so that he may turn his life around and have a chance to live eternally with Jesus Christ.
