Mass. Man Who Stole, Ate Hot Dog Gets 18 Months

A Massachusetts man who stole a hot dog from another man sitting under a tree in a park has been sentenced to 18 months in prison.

Antonio Judd pleaded guilty Monday in Worcester Central District Court to charges including larceny from a person.

Police say Judd grabbed the hot dog in August after flashing what appeared to be a gun in Elm Park in Worcester, New England's second-largest city.

Police reports say Judd began to devour the hot dog, spilling mustard all over his shirt. They say when he was arrested later he was carrying a pellet gun and a pocket knife.

Records show Judd has been sentenced to prison at least three times for offenses including assault and vandalism.

Prisons are for keeping dangerous criminals away from the general public. This guy is a nuisance, not a danger. Give him 30 days and some community service. The state doesn't need to put him away for that long.

Hey Mom...At 10-2 @ 5:01: If you would read the posts starting back to the very first one and the stupid comment stated back maybe you would understand. I was commenting that someone who steals a hotdog gets time and a 3 time felon is free. What a 'wonderful justice system' we have. That is what I was writting about smarty.

18 MONTHS FOR ONE HOT DOG IT APPEARS TO ME THAT THEY MUST NOT HAVE OTHER MORE IMPORTANT CRIMES TO PROSECUTE . LIKE DRUG DEALERS ,RAPIST, MURDERERS,THE MAN WAS OBVIOUSLY HUNGRY OR NOT IN HIS CORRECT STATE OF MIND 48 HRS INJAIL OR PROBATION WOULD BE MORE THAN ENOUGH PUNISHMENT. THEY WENT TO ALL THIS TROUBLE JUST TO GET NATIONWIDE PUBLICITY. JUST ANOTHER CASE OF IGNORANT YANKEES

I would expect nothing less from the state of Mass. You can kill innocent girls there but you better not steal a hot dog
