Church Sponsors Yard Sale With All Free Stuff

It was quite the scene at a local church in the east as hundreds came out to a yard sale where everything was free.

The event was held at the Greenville Community Christian Church Saturday morning.

People came with boxes and trash bags but the stuff given away was not garbage.

Church leaders say the free stuff was from donations that they had gotten over the year.

Pastor James Corbett says especially in these hard economic times events like this are really needed.

Corbett says his church has been doing this for nearly 20 years.

That was an error in the printing of this article. The church never called the event a "sale". It is called a Yard Give Away. I know because I am a member of the church and we do it EVERY YEAR! We literally give away everything we collect in hopes that it will be a blessing to people. Not only does it bless the people that attend the event but it also blesses the members that participate.

If it was free than it was not a sale.
