Officers Fired In Wyoming Taser Parade Incident

A small-town police department in Wyoming has fired two officers who chased down and used a Taser on a 76-year-old tractor driver during a parade in August.

The Glenrock Police Department issued a release Tuesday saying the decision was made "after careful consideration of all facts revealed through the investigation."

The town hired an outside consultant to review whether Sgt. Paul Brown and Officer Michael Kavenius broke department policies when they pursued and shocked Bud Grose.

Investigators have said Grose disobeyed an officer's traffic command while he was driving an antique tractor during the Deer Creek Days parade. Prosecutors decided against filing any charges in the incident.

Hey Milli. You married to a cop that picks on old people too?

I don't consider tasering and elderly man at a parade someone who has a back bone. I can eat doughnuts and taser old men to. So give me a badge! By the way, I am a parent of 6. A mom. None ever in trouble. I could definetly do your job and with a lot better judgement. I am speaking to the officer (fired or not) talking smack. Your badges do have limits. Some of you think being a bully is part of your job. Its not. Maybe if we paid police officers better we would get some better quality officers. All cops are not jerks. I would certainly not come to the defense of the idiots who cross the line. Thanks to all who do a good job.

Purebread, MY comments are illogical? I am rolling on the floor laughing at yours. Yep, armchair quarterbacks are spineless and impotent. None of you have the courage to actually go out and be a police officer, so you sit back and attempt to make yourself feel better by tearing down people who DO have the backbone to go out and protect you and the rest of the public. I'm still laughing at all of you.

ToAllCops Commenting DUDE your comments are not logical.I do'nt know how you can understand them yourself. WHO IS US AND TO WHAT LEVEL? AND WHAT BRAIN IS IMPOTENT

Don't waste your time brothers. These armchair quarterbacks aren't worth the effort. Not one of those slamming the cops here have the spine to actually DO the work of a cop and so they just want to tear us down to their level so they don't feel so impotent. Just read the comments and laugh at how cluless they are. That's what I do.

Read up on it folks, Mr Grose refused to obay police officers assigned to direct the traffic where it is safe. He heard the officer say no, he did what he wanted anyway and drove where he wanted and even struck an officer with the tractor and hit a police vehicle with the tractor before being tazered. He asked for it. They did him a favor by not arresting him because of public idiots in the way as well. They were doing what they were hired, trained, and were taught from birth to defend themselves when they have to and this little town is turning their back on the p;eople they hired to do a job. I feel sorry for the officers and hope they sue everyone who plays a part in taking food off their families table. Grose chose his action to do what he wanted and got in trouble. People are accountable for their actions regardless if he is 76. He looks pretty healthy to me.

Jennifer, this is a truly sad story. The next time you need help, do not call 911. Take care of it yourself. Not all law officials are bad, I am sure they were excited with the chase and doing what they thought the situation required. I am sure they saw danger and not a 75 year old person.
