A South Jersey toddler is getting national attention for doing one of those unexpected things kids do. She threw back a foul ball her dad had just caught at last night's Phillies game.
And even though his daughter threw away the ball Steven Monforto says he'd waited his whole life to catch, he says he can't be mad at his little girl. He says it's a special moment they'll share.
Video shows three-year-old Emily throwing back the ball seconds after her dad handed it to her, and her shocked dad throwing up his hands in amazement. Then he hugs her. Monforto says he didn't want her to think she'd done anything wrong.
The Phillies later gave Monforto another ball.
