Levi Johnston: Not Much Parenting At Palin Home

The father of former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin's first grandchild is speaking out in Vanity Fair magazine about what went on inside the Palin household.

Levi Johnston says in the magazine's October issue that the Palin home in Wasilla was different from what most people think. The 19-year-old lived with the Palins for two months awaiting the birth of the child he has with Palin's 18-year-old daughter, Bristol. The two were going to get married but called off the wedding.

Johnston says there wasn't much parenting. He says Palin's children pretty much took care of themselves, and did the cooking, cleaning and laundry.

Palin has four other children. The youngest, Trig, is 1 year old.

Excerpts of the interview were posted Wednesday on the magazine's Web site.

Wow, Obama sure buys a lot of snake oil. I am sure the stimulus will pay for it though. Derek, liberal, biased, koolaid, shadow party. I think your forget your leader George Soros the billionaire. I mean, he owns you, he paid and influenced media to teach you what you know. I mean, its obvious. You repeat his agenda like he put a chip into your head. It must be all those subliminal commercials from Al Gore. Well, if you can only learn to think, research both sides and realize how lucky you are to live in the US, then you can contribute to society. Again, one more time, the only people that hate and do not watch Fox are extreme liberals. Even democrats like me watch it for the "truth" in stories. You only accuse them since George and his liberal following say no. He is afraid you might learn to think for yourselves.

Yeah, my cousin said she had a great time there. Yeah a female with her friend in the Castro, they had no problems. Funny how you mention "you let others make you decisions for you, sorry, I forgot" - this coming from a guy that has been quoting Fox news on the blogs the past few days, and the same guy that has told me in the past what his priest/pastor orthodox leader tells him what their bible says, gives advice etc..... sorry, kind of hard to take your last comment as insulting OSOC, I know you can do better. Anyways, in regards to Fox, can you simply imagine that they would take his speech, pull out parts of it and paste two different lines together using ".......", that's how they spin it. Why do you still post on here if you lik...love reading about fake news on Fox? Talk about insulting this network.

Derek, sorry, nope, you are wrong. The News Posted by Fox only repeated what he "personally said" in his speeches. You know, words from Van Jones mouth. When the story showed up on other airways, it was more of the same, repeating his speeches. So you can make up your own mind or let your party do it for you. So, your cousin went to the Castro District and thought it was cool? Then it is OK for you go and see about it for yourself, whoops, thats right, you let others make you decisions for you, sorry, I forgot.

Yes anon, it was lavon, it was his attempt at levity, a pretty good one too. Blah blah blah, hey derick, there wouldn't have been an opportunity to go to war if YOUR boy clinton would have taken care of Bin Laden when he had the chance. The moral of all these stories, we have not had a descent president since Raegan. Who did Raegan follow, the most dismal failure to ever occupy the white house....UNTIL NOW. So maybe history will repeat itself. The worst president ever in history in office now, may be followed by a peoples president, not a "certain" peoples president. The kool aid constituents will hate that cuz they will have to work instead of getting sunburned hands waiting for handouts.

Heaven forbid the kids have to participate in the household chores. I wonder if they were made to take out the trash and help in the yard too? Maybe social services should step in, sounds like they may actually be learning some responsibility. How terrible...
