Woman Accused Of Feeding Daughter Human Waste

A woman in Austin, Texas, is accused of repeatedly feeding her
3-year-old daughter human waste, potentially causing life-threatening infections.

Emily Beth McDonald has been charged with felony injury to a child.

The arrest affidavit says the daughter had been hospitalized for serious infections caused by organisms consistent with those found in human waste. Based on that information, hospital staff placed a camera in the child's room. It allegedly recorded McDonald taking "fecal matter from a spoiled diaper" and placing it on the cap of a tube with a direct link to the child's bloodstream.

McDonald has been released on a $100,000 personal bond. The Austin American-Statesman reports she must wear an electronic monitoring device and comply with a police protective order that prevents her from seeing her three children.

She faces up to life in prison if convicted.

This woman deliberately harmed her child by feeding it fecal matter! This is not a mother, this is a person who has no care about human life, not even her own child's. So why should anyone care about hers? Lock her up for life, she could have easily killed that innocent child that was doing nothing but trusting that her mother was taking care of her. And who is to say she will not cause harm to anyone else in the world if she's willing to cause harm to her own flesh and blood? And may I add... in such a disgusting, inhumane way at that! She needs to be evaluated and locked away.

Prayers go out to that precious little child! How anyone can do something like that is beyond me. That mom needs prayer too. Matthew 5:44 says to love and pray for your enemies..although she's not my personal enemy, she is to that child...she needs prayer.

Bud I have the feeling that there are several people on here who like to invite you over for a very SPECIAL dinner. Bon Apetite Bud, enjoy! There just isn't a punishment severe enough for some crimes, specially when it comes to children and animals (those who rovide unconditional love and trust). Bond is based on the individual's flight risk, not what the person is charged with or guilt/innocense, althought the type of charge is considered, ie. murder normally carries a higher bond that shopflifting. She must not have been considered much of a flight risk. ie. lots of cash to leave the country, ties to the community etc.

If they have video proof of this why was her bond set where she could personally afford to bail herself out of jail. What is wrong with this judicial system and child abuse?

This is exactly why people should have psychological tests before being allowed to become a parent.

TO BUD: You are completely off your rocker and no better than the woman who did this if you have any speck of thinking a way around this.

The US should set up a prison in a remote cold part of Alaska similar to the Soviet era gulags for such people as this.Work them 12-14 hours a day 6 days a week in sub zero temperatures, with only a little food. Then if they are found guilty, they can be sent there to never be heard from again. It would serve her (the mother) right.
