Nudity Complaint Near Maine Topless Doughnut Shop

Prosecutors will review a complaint that a waitress from a Maine topless doughnut shop was outside the business without a shirt on.

The Central Maine Morning Sentinel says a state trooper was sent to the Grand View Topless Coffee shop on Saturday after someone called in a complaint. Police say no one was charged, but the matter has been turned over to the district attorney for review.

It's unclear whether nudity outside the cafe is prohibited.

Vassalboro had considered banning nudity altogether after the shop opened in February, but officials now are proposing to specifically regulate where, when and how such businesses may operate. The revised ordinance comes up for a vote June 8.

What kind of low life woman would feel like she needs to sale doughnuts with no shirt on? It's one thing to work at a topless bar or strip club but to wake up one morning and say "Geeze, I think I wanna sell doughunts with no shirt on". "My family will be so proud of all I've accomplished!" What a loser. Whoever came up with such a dumb idea should'nt have ever been given a loan for something so stupid. It's ashamed so much money gets wasted on crap like this.

Let me be the first to say to some of you sticks in the mud that establishments like these keep America runnin....just like Dunkin Donuts! Heck, if I lived up there, i'd pay ten bucks for a doughnut dance.....if you don't like it, move on to the next shop. God Bless America for shops like these. We need them in GA, and i'm sure they would be beneficial at the local Krispy Kreme in NC, wherever that may be.

First of all, that is sick to even have a place like that. Nakedness is meant for husband and wife. I hope people know this kind of shame and a boat load of others is what is tearing down america!!!!

Anonymous - When I go into a topless bar, I expect to see topless women. When I am in wal-mart with my family I expect saggy sally to keep her blouse buttoned up and not have them flopped out in the open where everyone can see them. See the difference? There is a place and time for everything..

Are you kidding ? North Carolina hicks can't even deal with a woman breast feeding. Intentional breast exposure would be a capital offense. In Maine, men marry men and women marry women. No one cares.
