Last Night On Big Idol Stage For NC's Anoop Desai

The save used for Matt Giraud wasn't a waste. He was safe this week on "American Idol."

Lil Rounds and Anoop Desai were kicked out, since two had to go this week.

Paula Abdul told Rounds, "What a classy way to go, singing at the top of your game."

Desai said he's disappointed he's leaving, but he added, "I have to look at the bright side, I'm going back to Chapel Hill." Desai is a college student at UNC.

Anoop, you have a very bright future in Music industry. I love your singing style and you are a much educated and classy guy than the others. You are an excellent son to your parents and an excellent buddy to your friends as I observed. Your parents adored you and very proud of you! A great catch for some girls. Please keep singing, you are a champion. I enjoyed watching you and the way you presented yourself and answers questions esp. you can handle criticisms very well. You have the best vocal. You surprised a lot of people esp. on your audition. More power to you and enjoy your Idol Tour. You are famous now!

Dave, what a poor soul you must be, I know a whole bunch of people that watch this program every year and when it's over we go South for Bike week where we have no life. I'm sure a poor little beer drinkin, cig smokin, trash talker could not handle such a dull place as Daytona or Myrtle Beach. What do you do for fun, watch the show COPS to see if you know anyone getting busted?

CAROLINA TARHEELS--GO! GO! Go! Anoop is good, so is Lil Rounds but they are not the best ones on the show this year. Go Danny G.

I hated to see them go home, but the next couple of weeks is going to be hard. All of them are so good its hard to decide who needs to go home.
